Over the next 3 years as a practitioner, Maureen really began to discover what true health was about – the healthy integration of the body, mind and spirit. Maureen learned first-hand that emotions, thoughts and belief systems were the deeper cause of physical issues. This new awareness stimulated Maureen’s curiousity to really delve into the world of spirituality/healing which led her to more learning through such teachers as Louise Hay, Doreen Virtue, and Esther and Jerry Hicks. As Maureen continued to work with BodyTalk clients, she began to receive information clairvoyantly, clairaudiently and claircognitively that did not come through the framework of The BodyTalk System. After working through her fears about what channelling really was, Maureen slowly began to trust and allow in these experiences. In Jan of 2006, Maureen left the BodyTalk System to allow her full channelling capabilities to come forth. Fully aware by this point of the power of thought and intention, Maureen kept intending to be a clear channel for Spirit with high level wisdom, and 6 months later, the higher level collective consciousness named SAM made their first appearance. Intrigued by SAM’s “tell it like it is” and “down to earth” style, Maureen committed to work with SAM and share the mission of reminding everyone of who they truly are by guiding them to re-connect to their Essence. By remembering their Essence, (which is the pure core of their being and their connection to Source/God/All There Is), every being can reclaim their birthright of a joyful, peaceful, harmonious life experience by living an Essence-based existence. Maureen is grateful for this opportunity to teach with SAM, and is amused at the irony that she indeed is teaching, just not in the way she ever planned. She is glad that all along her Essence, her “source within”, knew better. About the collective consciousness SAMNote from Maureen: "Who are these guys really?" is probably one of the most common questions I get. Are they angels? Where are they from? Have they ever been human? In a way, I wish they never explained themselves as a 'collective consciousness' - what the heck IS that anyways?!!! They tell me they have been human before, many times, and that they 'played the game' (life) until they mastered it. Now, all of these Beings who played the game and have ascended in awareness and consciousness have connected together to create one energy - one collective consciousness. They are not from the angelic realm, nor are they a group of deceased loved ones. They say they are multidimensional and are able to access many different planes of existence, but anchor in the causal plane. I first channeled SAM as a conscious channel (I'm not a trance channel) in June of 2006. Originally, I thought SAM was a male spirit guide, yet SAM kept telling me that this was incorrect - to wait a while longer and he/it/they would explain who they really were. As promised, soon I understood this energy I channelled to be a 'higher level collective consciousness' (their wording) but still they remained nameless. I kept asking this consciousness to give me a name for ease of reference until finally the name SAM came through - an acronym for “Securely Attached to Mankind”. And how does SAM describe themselves? As an aspect of Source energy...read for yourself. A deeper perspective from SAM: Greetings. So who is SAM? The million dollar question. We wish to allow you to see who we are from our perspective. We view every one of you as an aspect of All There Is, and we too, share that same place or home address with you. So directly, to answer your question, we are an aspect of All There Is. As a collective consciousness or “group”, we extend far greater in boundary than a single entity. We are not finite at all, not in the least. As an aspect of All There Is, we go on forever. Suffice it to say we are a ‘multiple’ consciousness. We prefer the word ‘collective’ rather than ‘group’ because ‘group’ defines a finite number of people, whereas the definition of ‘collective’ is less finite in our opinion, therefore more of an appropriate description of who we are. But in the true core of who we are, we are GOD, as are you. From Maureen: Yeah I know, a bit 'out there' huh? Being human, we want an answer that fits in the nice little box we call reality, not some 'out there' description of being an aspect of God. The bottom line is this - you have to use your own intuition to determine whether this group's message feels worthy of your attention or not - listen and read their message (Philosophy), and determine if what they are saying seems valid as a perspective of Truth to you. That's all that you can do when determining whether to listen to any resource - is this coming from a place of Truth, and is this information for my highest good? Go within, trust your gut, and you'll get your answer. ;) I've channelled this group for almost 4 years now, and I can say with certainty that their heart is in the right place, and their message is too - they are helping us get back to remembering our own inner power, our own inner divinity - and THAT is a message worth sharing!

Maureen is the first one to admit that she did not expect to be in the field of spirituality as her passion and career. Always wanting to be a teacher, when she acquired her Education degree in 1993, Maureen felt that her life was right on track. However Maureen soon realized that her path was going to change significantly. A few years later, struggles with her own health led her into the world of spirituality and alternative medicine.
